When Neon Hippie announced the launch of Galaxina, I knew it would be stellar. As a long-time fan of Cosmic Concentrate – which makes all other hyaluronic acid serums utterly unthinkable WHILE ALSO smelling like pure joy – I trusted founder Nicole Ostoya would not let fans down. It’s quite a different realm, crafting a fragrance, as opposed to skincare, but Ostoya and Neon Hippie have proven otherworldly things happen when passion steers the ship.
Galaxina initially spoke to me as a gourmand girl. Thierry Mugler’s Angel was my introduction to the category, and, dare I say, I’ve worn it since its launch in 1992. The category has expanded exponentially since then, but the characteristic vanilla note is something I always look for in a gourmand.
Galaxina breaks free of the uber-sweet confines of the sector with a warming undercurrent that deepens as the day wears on. Do not mistake me when I say this IS a sensual elixir that transforms from bright and bubbly at first burst to reveal what true jasmine lovers look for in a scent – depth, character, and a come-hither whisper that pulses intoxicatingly through the night.
In this cocktail, the bergamot has more of an orange blossom scent to my nose, which makes Galaxina even more enticing. If you like your gourmands to evolve with your chemistry, Galaxina won’t disappoint. To call it bright, warm (thank you, Peru Balsam) creamy, and sensual would just be saluting the tip of the iceberg.
I’m so glad to have caught this rising star just as spring began to unfold. Recommended without a single reservation.
TL;DR Pure joy!
